Coche Island and Cumana

Apuej Bien got her repairs done; the shaft of the propeller had popped out.  Repairs are done and everything looks great, on the way to Coche and then to Cumana where Apuej Bien will be docked in the marina.  Cumana Venezuela will be great place to get provisions as everything is quite inexpensive.  Including wine which we found two years ago for like three dollars a bottle.  We found one bottle upon our arrival in Trinidad and you can see the bottle in the photo we took when we launched the boat in the water September 12th, or so, where we are having a toast.  I'm still trying to get organized in terms of what I will be doing the next couple of days.  My father arrives on Sunday so definitely will be spending a couple of days with him.

Hello

It has been an interesting week for me here dealing with a multitude of issues and it is only Wednesday. Well, I saw the last update and will look in the map where Coche and Cumana are located. Fed-ex some carrucho y pulpo man!!! Just joking. It seems that everyone in this family is traveling but us here in Colorado.

I found the perfect dinghy to explore the islands. See if you can rig one like this.

Nice Dinghy

The silly joke of the day, talking about engine repairs…

A gynecologist was getting sick of his job and decided that he needed a career change. He'd always enjoyed tinkering with engines so thought he'd become a marine diesel mechanic. So he went along to marine mechanics school and the final test was to strip the diesel engine completely and reassemble it - obviously back into perfect working order. So our gynecologist friend did the test and anxiously awaited the result. The day he received the results he got quite a surprise, he got 150%! He quickly phoned the instructor and queried the mark. The instructor said, "No, that's right.
First I gave you 50% for stripping down the engine-a very thorough job.
Next I gave you 50% for reassembling it - a fantastic job really.
Then I gave you a 50% bonus for doing it all through the exhaust port."

Happy Friday

I just researched the map and saw a place in Isla Coche named “El Bichar” what??? This leg seems more like a little hop to these 2 islands. Coche looks arid with little vegetation. It might be volcanic? Educate the ignorant here please.

Boats are built in many countries and here is one I have never seen.

The silly joke of the day, blonde joke…

There was a blonde driving down the road one day. She glanced to her right and noticed another blonde sitting in a nearby field. She was in a boat rowing, with no water in sight.
The blonde angrily pulled her car over and yelled at the rowing blonde, "What do you think you're doing? It's things like this that give us blondes a bad name. If I could swim, I'd come out there and kick your butt!"
