About our Sailboat Apuej Bien

Apuejbien, a 2002 Beneteau Oceanis 411 sailboat, is quite a nice vessel that has taken us several places so far. We purchased our boat in December 2007 and sailed it from the BVI to Fajardo Puerto Rico.  That was our first sail with Camila, Jeff,, Yvone, my husband and I.  It was our first of many adventures.  Once in Culebra, Puerto Rico, Rafa joined us and we sailed to Isleta Marina in Fajardo, PR. We have great memories of sailing trips from Fajardo to The Spanish Virgin Islands of Vieques, Palomino Island and Culebra while Apuej Bien was docked in Fajardo.

In July 2008 we sailed from Fajardo Puerto Rico to Trinidad.  We cruised along with our friend Smitty who sailed his 41' Hunter sailboat, Daisy Mae II in the company of Gary, Joel and Brandon.   Carla joined us in Fajardo and sailed with us up  to  St Martin.  We sailed for about five weeks; first to the USVI, then we made several stops in the British Virgin Islands.   We sailed to our honey moon place, Anguilla where I got my finger caught in the anchor chain.   Not nice when trying to anchor at night but the doctor and medical staff people in Anguilla were incredibly nice.  More about this inside this blog.  We sailed to beautiful places among my favorites; Deshaise, Guadaloupe, Port a Pitre, Martinique, Nevis, Saba, Dominica and my favorite, this is an internal joke; St Lucia. We than sailed to St Vincent, through the Grenadines onto Union Island and than to Grenada.  Each passage and island left us with unique impressions and great memories.  Finally, we ended our adventure in Chargaramas, Trinidad.

In 2009 we planned to sail from Trinidad to Venezuela.  Originally, Camila joined us in June but it took us 28 days to finish repairs and launch ApueJ Bien.  Unfortunately, Camila had to depart for Puerto Rico shortly after we launched.  She did help us prep the boat and here are some pictures.  I flew with Camila to Puerto Rico and then met Jerome and Smitty in Margarita Island, Venezuela.   We sailed to Coche, Mochima, and Puerto La Cruz, Venzuela.

We have many stories which I would like to incorporate in this blog as well as share some pictures.
